How do I improve the health of my mouth?
Dental implants in Neutral Bay, Sydney
Dental implants (a.k.a tooth implants) can be used to restore a single missing tooth or all the teeth in the mouth. There are many different designs and criteria for selecting an implant, and we at MDT will go through all the treatment options that are available to you. We have been performing implant surgery and restoration for over 15 years, and they are a predictable and safe procedure.
Dental implants are titanium screws which are inserted into the jawbone to replicate the function of the root of your tooth. This provides a solid foundation to affix a crown or bridge restoring your tooth’s original function, strength and appearance. There are widely considered to be the next best thing to your natural teeth, providing a permanent and secure method for replacing one or more missing teeth.
Dental implants are primarily made from titanium, which, as a biocompatible material, allows for the development of a strong bond or integration between the implant and the surrounding bone. Three months after the insertion, the bone will have integrated with the titanium surface and your will be ready for the final restoration. This can be done with a crown, bridge or denture, Once the crown has been cemented the tooth will be restored to its original function and improving both the appearance of your tooth and your quality of life.
